Hi i just bought a 2005 infiniti FX35 AWD with 60k miles on it. everythings been great with it until yesterday when i was pulling out of my driveway and i noticed a small "clicking" noise when i would shift between Drive/Park/Reverse and also when i would just slightly tap on the accelerater.I feel like it's either a drive terrain issue or solely a transmission issue. Im taking it into the subaru dealership i bought it from today because thats the only place my warranty is in effect. Im not expecting to hear much good news out of them but I was hoping someone has had a similar problem and has an easy solution for me. I really appreciate everyones help on this!

I have the same issue. I tried looking for the noise when I replaced my rotors and it seems to be coming from the rear suspension arm. I've been meaning to take it to the dealer, but have been driving like that for a year now...Let us know what they say.

They pretty much drove it 5 miles and told me everything was fine. After that i took it to Les Schwab and had them balance my tires and after driving home from there i heard a clunk noise twice.. gettin pretty pissed. anyone with advice would be appreciated. are you guys thinking this is a tranny issue or more?

Does it happen when you just crank the wheel when at a standstill? . . . & are you lowered w/ aftrmrkt springs?

I took it to les shwab and had the tires rotated and when they showed me the suspension is was a OEM coil that had been cut wayy to short. Im thinking about ordering H&R lowering springs and doing it right. im thinking maybe its stress caused from spring tension or something else. Does anyone know if when replacing my springs i will need replacement struts as well? also after listening closer with a second person the clicking noise is coming from the rear end and it clicks twice when pressing on or letting off my gas pedal... or when starting to accelerate from a stop. My dad said its normal But I feel like my fx35 was way quieter when i first bought it. I need a quick fix people. thanks for your help!!!
