05 Fog Light HID Conversion Q

IS folks,

I am not able to reach a dealer of any HID conversion kits for the fogs so I am turning to you to try and get an answer for me.
The Q: when upgrading to HID fog lights, I will buy the 9006 conversion kit, yes? I don't know if I go to a H8 bulb. The 9006 harness from vehicle plugs into the ballast and then a wire runs out with the same 9006 harness?

Thanks for the help and I just want to make sure I have everything correct before I purchase.

Don't buy that xentec kit, it's crap. I have tried them out before and they are so cheaply made. Get the morimoto elite hid system or for a cheap kit get DDM

I also tried Xentec and they suck the ballast only lat a week or two

Also, you don't use an H8 bulb. Stay with the 9006 bulb. 03-05 use 9006 bulbs and 06-08 use H8 bulbs. DDM Tuning is a pretty popular kit. Not a great, high quality kit, but not really that cheap either. I've been using DDM for years now.

Thanks for the help. DDM looks pretty good for the price.
Looking forward to hatch lift supports changing this week too. I haven't seen any write ups for the swapping, so I may do one myself. I found the struts for ~$90 less than factory, with lifetime warranty. They have great reviews and I was able to talk to a person when I called. We'll see what happens. They did make it from Cali to KY in 2 days as their standard shipping via USPS! I'm glad I didn't pay an extra $20 for 2 day FedEx shipping!
