Those running with ARK GRiP Exhaust....i just joined the club! :)

Yeah, the FX35 does drone a lot. Even though a G35/7 is pretty much the same car mechanically, I find them to drone less. I think it's because the FX is heavy relative to the engine pulling it around. The drone is worst when under load in that 2-2.5K rpm range. My other car is a 335i and even though it's much louder overall than the FX - catless downpipes and full exhaust - it doesn't drone nearly as much. The FX has that drone/boominess around 2-2.5K. I wonder if the 45/50's drone as much. One member here did a full muffler delete on his 50 and it sounds decent. I can't imagine how horrible that would sound on a 35/7.

The 50 is extremely quiet. I've previously owned an '07 FX35, a 3.7, and a 5.0. Even with my test-piped ARK exhaust it's still loads quieter than the others.

ok so my stock exhaust has been on for about a week.

- I miss the growl and aggressive exhaust note of the Ark Grip.
- I almost forgot how quiet the interior can be.
- I don't miss the drone.

Taking pictures and will put up for sale by next week.

Dam that sucks, I couldn't see myself without the exhaust but I do feel you on the drone.

Just came across this old thread. Was thinking of getting this exact exhaust. Someone tell me the OP is slightly over-reacting so I can justify the purchase!
