AC not engaging

so just bought this car, 2009 fx35 with 78k miles.

Shredded the drive belt about 300 miles into ownership (belt looked new but i think they put some kind of dressing on it to make it look clean which ate the rubber).

Anyways the belt wrapped around the ac compressor when it shredded. I cleaned this up and replaced the belt but now the AC conpressor will not engage (cant see the ac clutch spinning but the pulley spins fine).

So my question is, does anyone know where the AC clutch relay or fuse is at on these cars? I found 4 fuse boxes but nothing in regards to AC or compressor. Only found the seat heating and cooling fuses and the blower fuses.

Also i checked the freon which is good so its not the low pressure switch.

Thanks ahead of time.

hey man thanks, looks like i need to find fuse 49 or maybe 48.

my next question is where the is the actual fuse box in a 2009 fx35? I found a small one by the drivers left kick panel, another on the driver side of the engine compartment that was just a couple relays, and two by the battery that didn't have many fuses/relays in them.

where is this fuse box that is referenced in this wiring schematic? really appreciate the help, I have been googling from my phone for the last couple hours, we took a weekend trip for the 4th so i dont have a computer to use and am away from all my resources.

thanks again for the help.

well I fixed it, there is a 5th fuse box behind the battery that has the air con 10 amp fuse. I replaced this and now its working great, with that being said it was a royal PITA to do as I was in a parking lot with a flat-head screwdriver and a 10mm socket.

thanks again guys, I can handle this 100 degree weather again.

I have a similar issue. When i turn on the ac nothing happens, I checked the 2 fuses in the drivers side kick panel and both 15amp fuses were blown, i replaced them and when i turned the car on they blew again what can this be?

If it were that youd have to either install a new clutch/coil piece on it. (Needs to be pulled & pressed back on). Or replace the ac compressor. Also check the wires going to the compressor & make sure theyre not broken & touching ground somewhere.

I had the same problem with a Toyota I had. Replaced two fuses twice, A/C worked for about one minute, then stopped. Ended up getting a new A/C compressor, and froze in the ride again.
