Eyelids with proper fitment

I picked up a new set of eyelids for the QX after I cracked one of them while prepping for the wrap. Much to my delight, these actually fit perfectly!

I used 3M double-sided tape overlapping the vinyl and urethane.

Does look good, out of curiosity, i've seen guys just do this with vinyl. For example not actually having a piece of fiberglass or carbon underneath but just laying the vinyl right on the light and cutting it to the shape they want the eyelid to be in. Is this not an option?

im doing this sometime as well. I just got some knifeless vinyl cutting tape from amazon and some carbon fiber 3m vinyl laying around

Knifeless tape is the way to go if you want to eliminate the possibility of gouging your headlights.

Yeah knifeless tape is a great option, you can also cut through the vinyl with a very sharp exacto knife without hitting the headlight, you just need a really steady hand and some patience to not get careless with it.

I know the shop that wrapped my FX the wrapper did this in a couple spots, and I was worried but he showed me that he can only cut through the vinyl without hitting the surface.

Can you post up some more pics of the eyebrows? I just got a set of the carbon fiber ones. I dont really like the fitment of them. I want to buy one of this guy's front grilles, but not sure of the quality.
