Hi. First post. The 2012 fx35 has no backup switch on or around transmission. And no relay to replace. All fuses checked good. Contacted infiniti dealer, says usually is auto trans shift lock solenoid valve and park switch located left side of shift. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance

Wel, that is discouraging. Earlier models had backup relays and backup lamp switch to energize relay. The 2012 fx service manual doesn't have an auto trans section or at least not the manual I saw. Question for anyone. What could have possibly replaced the relay and switch?

Thank you for this information. Now, I have a place to start, but before I posted a help needed i looked in all fuse and relay boxes and saw no backup lamp relay. The relevant box only had a relay for windshield washer and nothing else. Available area for relays, just nothing there. But thank you again. I appreciate the reply.
Hi. after looking at the diagram and downloading a 2012 service manual, i am having a devil of a time finding this diagram. but then i noticed that the posted diagram is 2010. i think that explains alot. if you could, in what section in the 2012 service manual is there a schematic for the back up lamps. i can't find it.
