Nope. From here. Noname brand. Really good quality and perfect pure white output. Just make sure to order 6000K for pure white, not the usual 5000K(they are yellowish for some reason). I got my HID fogs from this seller also, no issues so far.

Are these just straight up replacement bulbs, no extra equipment needed? Can't believe how cheap they are esp compared to the osram bulbs...doesn't seem possible :)
 
Osram and Philips are OEM quality, have to pay for all that engineering and quality control. eBay or DDM bulbs are cranked out enmasse from Chinese factories with very minimal quality control. They all offer lifetime warranties because the bulbs are so cheap it's easier to replace them than to figure out what went wrong.
 
I just finished swapping out OEMs for 6500ks and I really had a hell of a time. This DIY was great for taking the bulbs out but I needed something more in depth for putting them back in. My bulbs would fit at 12oclock and three other positions and I had no idea the direction the filament was supposed to go. I felt like I was reverse engineering something I didn't see in the first place. A mirror definitely helped, but this youtube video of HID bulb replacement on a G35 has a great angle and worked even better for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFNldWdl1AQ

Sorry to revive this thread but I suppose it is better to use related threads so it will benefit others who may have the same question. I tried Morimotos 6000k and the bulb only last me about 2 years before they start flickering and eventually died out.

I replaced the Morimotos with Osrams bought from a vendor off Ebay based in the UK linked here: 2 x Genuine Osram D2S Cool Blue Intens XENARC 66240CBI 35W 5500K - 24h DISPATCH. This only last me about a little over a year. One of the bulb just went out today. Not sure if what they were selling are genuine or knock off.

Is there anyone here who had a replacement D2S bulb either 5500k or 6000k that lasts at least 3 years or more? I don't want to go back to 4300K OEM specs. Thanks in advance.
 
Thanks Andy. I was thinking about Garax actually. I know that you mentioned this before. I will give it a try.
 
Thanks Ed. I dread and don't look forward to get back into that tight driver's side bulb mountings. My hand was bruised and cut in places when I went in and replaced the busted HID bulb with a temporary old Morimoto spare bulb. Well hopefully I don't have to do this more often with the Garax.

+1 I broke a filament bar during a late night install. This is one DIY caffeine doesn't help with.

Wish those bulbs over 6-65k weren't so useless. Some of the white-colorshift ones look good.

The same thing is happening to me right now lol, so I guess the flickering is the bulb life and not the ballast

Why are they useless? I'm about to go from 5000K to 6000K
