Another Cam shaft sensor thread!

Hello Everyone! I haven't been on in a few years. Hope everyones rides are treating them well. Still have my 05 fx45, 10 years and going. I am experiencing the vdc off, slip, check engine soon lights. Ran the code, p0340(camshaft position sensor bank 1 sensor A). I did the gas pedal dance and reset it, but lights came back on, and last night fx shut off while driving. I am going to try changing the passenger side camshaft sensor as from what I understand it is the easiest to get to. From what I have read, with the 45, code p0340 does not actually tell if it is driver/passenger side camshaft sensor or even crankshaft sensor... Looking for any advice you all may have before I give it a go. I will list my specific questions below.

-Is there a diagram of the location of passenger side camshaft sensor avail? I have seen them for fx35, g35etc but not fx45.
-I looked on infinitipartsusa and they only list one camshaft sensor, is it universal as to which one you are replacing?
-Do I need to remove anything other that the engine cover that says v8 on it to get to sensor? I am not very mechanically inclined...
-Should I unplug battery while changing sensor so I dont get zapped?

Thats about all I can think of for now. Any info on camshaft sensor, or code p0340 for a 45 would be appriciated! Thanks

Another question. Infiniti dealer is quoting 119.00 for cam shaft sensor, and states crank shaft sensor is not the same part. Napa is quoting 35.00 for cam shaft sensor, but states they show same part # for cam shaft or crank shaft. I think that napa has the wrong info and is selling a crank shaft sensor labled as cam shaft sensor. Any one have the scoop on this? I would love to save the $ but doubt it would work in my favor....

Could more than likely be the wrong info.. Nonetheless, I get my parts from RockAuto or eBay

Thanks la_fx35! Exactly the straight forward answer I need as I get overwhelmed just popping the hood!! When I click the link, a few options come up. Some are listed crank/cam sensor. I am getting mixed reviews on whether they are the same. Do any of those that pop up when I click your link work? Sorry to beat a dead horse, just want to be sure of which one to get. Thanks so much!

I would get the Hitachi one since it said its the "Actual OEM Part". I replaced mine recently with an Autozone Duralast brand with lifetime warranty for $46. No choice for me since mine fail to start with the DTC P0340 code all of the sudden one day and my FX is my daily.

Great thanks. My fx is my daily too. Luckily I've been able to get by with it past couple days. It starts and drives, but has stalled twice. Both times I've done the gas peddle reset and carried on.

La_fx35. There are 2 sensors by the dipstick. One by handle and one a few inches lower that I had to take my air filter off to get at. Do you remember which one you changed? Thanks, doing it in the morning and pretty sure it's the lower one but want to confirm. Lower one goes to a green connector.
