Help with 2010 AC / Heat switch (knob) part number.

2009 FX50
Hi all,

I'm finally getting around to doing the AC /Heat switch (knob) mod in my 2009 FX and I want to make sure I get the right part. For those that don't know what I am talking about, I am looking to to take my 2009 front AC / Heat switches which control the cold and heat in the front seats and swap them for the AC / Heat switches that come stock in the 2010 model. There's two reasons for me doing this mod, the first is the aesthetics, the 2010 model switches and trim look much better and the second is to get rid of that little space / holder that is almost useless and just takes up space in the switch assembly of the 2009. That little space will get replaced with a blank plug in the 2010 trim and I plan to put the switch to control my "video / control navigation address while driving" mod there. Someone on this forum suggested to me that I ask some one with a 2010 for their VIN so I could verify that I am ordering the right part but since I don't know anyone with a 2010 well enough to feel comfortable asking for that kind of information, I was hoping someone with a 2010 could just verify the part numbers of the switches for me. I was going to go to a used dealer lot and grab a VIN from a 2010 sitting on the lot, if I could find one, but I figured I'd ask here first.

The part numbers are: Switch-A/C (25170-JJ50C) Switch-A/C (25170-JJ51C)

My concern is that with some the 2nd Gen models after mine (2009) Infiniti removed the AC function from the front seats and the switches only controlled heat so I want to make sure I have the right part number because it's IMPORTANT that I get the updated 2010 model switches that control both the AC and heat in the front seats. Thanks.

Hey,

03/01/2008 to 08/01/2009 → 25170-EJ70B

08/01/2009 to 11/01/2010 → 25170-JJ51A Superseded to 25170-JJ51C
I'm surprised with your statement "My concern is that with some the 2nd Gen models after mine (2009) Infiniti removed the AC function from the front seats and the switches only controlled heat" as in all gen II I have seen only full control (heat + AC) but this was only in Europe versions though

for all +2010 models I see superseded to: 25170JJ51C

hope this helps

Thank you. I'm not sure what year but Infiniti removed the AC function from the 2nd Gen for one of their models. It may have been the Limited Edition I was looking at but I was definetley checking out a 2nd Gen at the dealer which didn't have the AC function on the front seat in a model year after 2009. This was quite some time ago though.

I got the parts in. For future reference anyone that wants to do this mod, the correct part numbers are the part numbers from the OP.

Does anyone know what the part number for the blank plugs are? I can not find it anywhere no matter what model FX I put in at infinitipartsusa.com the diagrams suggest that there are switches in all of the square openings as if to suggest that all models have lane assist and such.

I'm referring to the blank plug that would go in the spot circled in red. Since I don't have the S model FX50 this spot would be filled with a blank plug where I will put my "video anytime" mod switch.

That's cool but the 2009 doesn't have an existing USB charger, we have the red, yellow and white RCA inputs, so half of the plug would be useless because it says you have to have an existing USB Audio interface to take advantage of that side of the ports. Secondly I want my "video anytime" switch there because I use it almost daily. I have the Samsung media hub installed and I use it to mirror my phones screen to the front LCD where I pretty much use Vevo to play music videos all day instead of listening to the radio. Right now I have the switch just hanging from one of my paddle shifters because I wasn't sure where to put it but it's time to clean it up.

Thanks for listing out the part number for the center console switch panel. I'm ordering one to add another switch. $36 bucks for a piece of plastic :eek.:

I forgot that when I replaced my center console with one I bought on eBay, because mines had some unsightly scratches, that I saved any pieces I though might come in handy. Here is a picture of the switches from that console and they have no AC function.
