Wire Fog Lights to Run with Parking Lights

Hi, has anyone here tried this? I imagine it may be as simple as finding the fog light wire going into the fuse box, cutting it and splicing it into the parking light wire going into the fuse box, then just taping off the rest of the fog light wire and removing the fog light fuse. I realize this would render the fog light switch and fog light indicator in the dash useless and fog lights would always be on when headlights/parking lights are on, but I am ok with this approach.

Thoughts? Lastly, does anyone know which fuse is the parking light fuse? BTW, I'm in a '16 QX70 but I imagine it might be the same as the 09+ FXs.

You can take a look at this DIY as a reference.

Thanks! This looks quite involved for a newb like me. I also don't really need independent function, I'd be happy with them on just with the parking lights. Do you think my option above would work or would it be questionable load wise on the parking light circuit?

I would suggest to use the parking light wire to drive a relay to turn on the fogs that takes battery power so that it will not overload the parking light circuit.

Just get a Bosch relay, wire loom and some wires from an auto part store.

Here is a quick relay wiring if you haven't use it before.
