Didn't really want to bring an old topic back, but I am having trouble putting the heat shield for the Stillen CAI to the FX to be more stable. I am going for the setup shown here. My current setup is making it very difficult since the heat shield is always out of place...

good eye Joey, looks like it has to be pulled over a couple of inches and a bolt put through that bracket into the existing hole in the inner fender and also behind the power duct to the inner fender.

Hmmm I do have the z tube and the metal bracket. Just the front if the power duct mount won't reach to the corner of the car

Its been too long. I can't remember how I mount the bracket. I'm sure someone will charm in as many are using the Stillen CAI.

If you bolt down the "wing" against the firewall, you may not necessarily need the bracket. See attached photo with bolt circled in red.

I did not use my bracket at all and my mount is rock solid.

Sorry, my engine bay is so dusty from my 10 hour plus road trip recently.

I drilled a new hole an inch away from the original fender hole so that it pushes the shield a bit more closing the gap. My Intake came off a g35, there engine bay is smaller from I assume.
