For the past couple days my car has had the VDC OFF, BRAKE, and Slipping lights come on simultaneously. My brakes are stock and I have Aftermarket wheels if that matters. I was thinking some kind of ABS sensor was the issue. Can anyone confirm this and do I need to take the FX to the dealer? After I turn my car off it goes away, but comes back on eventually.

Check pads. Rear pads wear faster than others cars because of brake assisted slip.

Brake fluid is probably a bit low. If it is a bit low, top it up.

With those combination of lights, I believe that your brake fluid level is too low. It's probably gone pass the minimum level mark of the brake fluid reservoir. I would top it off immediately before air gets in the master cylinder.

just had my pads replaced less than 700 miles ago. ill check the brake fluid today

Same thing happened to me too recently. Might be the weather change? idk.

I know some vehicles require very specific types of fluids. Do any of you suggest a place to buy and which type of liquid to get?

I'm actually getting an oil change at the dealer on Thursday. Might buy it there if not too much.

Super blue is discontinued. But 200 is the same formulation less the dye

I gave the owners manual a look.

It recommends the exact following:
http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Nissa...rds=nissan+super+heavy+duty+brake+fluid+dot+3

I might just get that since it's a bit cheaper and all I'm probably going to have to do is top up the fluid. Plus I have amazon prime so free 2 day shipping.

I saw your link, price was cheaper than amazon for the liter but I didn't look into the shipping cost and transit time and I knew I wouldn't need that much. Thanks for the recommendation.

Your call.
Dot 4 is better than 3 and compatible. Higher boiling point.
This is a no brainer IMO for how much difference??

I wouldnt get caught on the track or anywhere hilly without it

I have been putting this off for a while, seriously neglecting this issue but these lights keep coming on more often now.

I took a pic yesterday of the brake fluid reservoir and it looks like it's exactly in the middle. Car was off when I took the pic.

From what I've read, that's exactly where the fluid is supposed to be, right in the middle.

I do not mind buying $12 worth of brake fluid and adding a bit but I don't think I'm supposed to fill it up anymore so there is no point. What do you guys think?

Hm.. that's interesting.
While the engine is off, I usually fill the reservoir close the max limit.
When was the last time you replace the brake fluid?
