Anyone used these roof cross bars? (for cars without roof rails)

We have OEM roof bars, the most I have seen people do is add aftermarket cross bars because they are taller and wider so they can put more stuff on there.

Is it the OEM cross bars that can only handle 100lb of weight or the roof bars? I was thinking of kayaking next year with my gf (just a single person small kayak) and I don't know if OEM cross bars can hold 2 of them up there.

Yeah, my car came without roof rails...and I would like to have the option for the kayak, or even a Christmas tree. For the cost they are a good deal cheaper than OEM rails and bars...and appear much easier to install?
Just wondering if they would clamp on properly?....

sorry I can't help you with that. I haven't seen anyone run those so I would be weary about it. They are cheap enough that you can try, and if they don't work, throw them on craigs list or something and you won't loose much. Then you can look at OEM options after.
