[h=1]Consumer Reports: Lexus most reliable; Buick strong[/h]

That's just sad. I suppose the tranny issues with the JX and new generation Pathfinder when it first came out plays a larger role that brought the average down.

Nissan's not high, it's basically in the middle and Infiniti is at the bottom. Same thing happened with Honda being much higher than Acura or Buick being much higher than other GM brands. Luxury brands typically get the newest technology first due to the price points and that's what typically causing problems. ie, one of the complaints for Acura are issues with it's dual clutch transmissions which Honda doesn't get yet.

But really, the list doesn't seem inaccurate.

From the reports, I can't tell if these test were based on newer year models (2014/2015) or what. Maybe why Infiniti is ranked so low is because of the Q50. From what I hear from two dealerships' service crew, it's plagued with a sort of problems. I had multiple chances to drive the Q50 while my FX was in service. At first, it seemed like a very nice car, but driving it for half a day, I wouldn't go out and buy one right now. I would at least waiting for a 2nd gen.

Pretty sure why RAM is ranked so low is because of their new 2014 model 1500. My roommate has one of the first gen, and guess what, it's plagued with problems: Multiple recalls and TSBs in the first year alone. I told him to don't buy a first gen of anything. I learned of that mistake when I bought a Mazda 3 first gen.

Lexus just introduced their NX and a new engine in the IS. Let's see how their reliability for next year.
