285/45/22

I'm trying to decide on tires for 22's that I am getting. I don't plan on lowering my vehicle. What does everyone think about this size?

There is far more selection for 285/45/22 than 2xx/40 and I want to somewhat keep that luxury feel so I want a touring tire. I used to have Continental LX20s on my old vehicle and I loved them. They only offer this size for 22s. Super quiet and I saw a 1-2 mpg fuel economy difference.

It's going to make the FX look even more jacked up. That tire size is over 1.5" bigger in diameter than stock so your car will sit .8" higher. But the huge tire is going to look weird. And your speedo/odo will be off by a good bit. Finally, your car is going to be slightly slower.

Just doesn't seem that bad to me. I have the Aero kit so my vehicle already looks a bit lower. I think it is a good trade off for a lot more comfort.

shadow is definitely correct and the stock wheel isnt 8.5 inch wide it is 8" and the offset is 40 not 35
