Anyone hip on how to remove the GEN2 center console?

Remove the panels. You have much more control over how the vinyl is spread and the end result will look much more professional. My two cents.

in the diagram, it says "tool A". What did it refer to?
And do I just stick it in the gap and pop the panel off?
Could you please show me an actual picture of where I should stick that tool in. I dun want to break anything
 
You don't need trim tools to remove the center console. Once you pop off the clip that attaches to the shift knob, the console should just lift right out.
 
Have it done yesterday and the result is amazing!!! Even my friends that are not into cars said it looks 10 times better than wood alike surface.
I wish I could post pix.
