No A/C, only blows warm air (system is charged and I have searched)

My wife has a '06 FX35 Tech package. It just started not blowing cold air. I had a local shop (there is no dealership in my city) charge the system and he said it was a little low but not back (maybe at 75%). Now it is fully charged and still not blowing cold air. The compressor is spinning, I have tried several settings with the A/C, the shop says the refrigerant lines are condensating so we are at a loss. Infiniti is telling me probably heater control box and its in the $2000 neighborhood to fix. Any help or guidance here. This forum has been great, helped me fix two serious issues (AC Amplifier and a relay preventing the fan from blowing). Car is in the shop now so quick help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Clogged expansion valve? That would prevent the refrigerant from expanding and actually cooling. What are the pressures on the low and high side? Shop can easily check with gauges. If the compressor is spinning and the system has sufficient refrigerant, you should have cold air.

I will find out. How will I know based on pressure?

Low side is usually 35-45psi. High side is usually 2.5x the ambient temperature when measured. So if outside temp is 80 degrees, high side should be 200 psi. The measurements have to be made with the AC set on high. Let it run for maybe 5 minutes to ensure the pressures have stabilized and measure. If the high side is much higher than that, there is probably a clogged expansion valve. If the low side isn't in range, you either have too little or too much refrigerant or your compressor is having issues.

Thanks for all the replies. I have the car back and its still not working. The air is more like ambient temp and does get hotter when I turn the heat on. The guy at the shop says all the pressures are normal.

I found out how to go through the diagnostic check and everything is in order there too. Whats weird is (for those of you familiar with this) when you get to the test number 4, it has presets that blow and the first 2 are basically max cold just different fan speeds. The AC is cold in this step so its like something is wrong with the computer. I did replace the AM Amp a few months ago in the winter, maybe we got a bad one?

If you still have the old AC Amp, its easy enough to swap back the old AC Amp and see if that fixes the AC problem with this current AC Amp.
