That will be all for pics as I do not take a whole lot of pics. The next track day, I will keep the camera for the afternoon, once the speeds are higher. I will also try to remember to take more and better pictures.

Regards,

Such a nice road, & your driving looks great. Especially if your first time there.
Just stay off the wet grass ;)

It is very nice. I just love going there because it feels so great. The provide the lunch, the bottles of water, great instructors, awesome technical track. I just cannot say enough great things about that site.

As for my driving, you are too kind. My FX is my DD so I push it hard but not so hard to damage it. Let's say 7-8 out of 10.

Actually, I have a question for you GTO since you track your FX: do you something wish that you would track something else? For me, once I am back from the track I spend a lot of time looking at new parts to make the FX better but I am torn between: 1) keeping and modding the FX 2) buying a RWD more track focused car or 3) going for an AWD Platform coupe (new Q60 coming up/ new Audi RS5 coming up or slightly used GTR) because of canadian winters. I miss driving a coupe but I feel I would miss my FX50s if I would part from it...hence my conundrum. I'm quite spoiled though so I am not complaining, I just have too many great options.

Great question. I ask myself often too. wishing for a crisper feel, more speed, etc.
That's likely coming at some point. Something lightweight that I can mod into a sorta track rat. I've been thinking of a few things. I really see myself in the Alphs 4C, but it's some cash. Or maybe a Cayman, or Lotus elise. On the budget, The '16 Miata comes to mind. RX-7 or an S2000 could even work well too. Dunno yet. I'll get something sooner or later.
That said, I still really enjoy the Casual yet sporty feel of the FX, It handles remarkable for it's size & doesnt let me get into much trouble . . which is the reason I need a more fun car

Ahhhh....I feel less lonely in my world of dilemnas of epic proportions! :dont-know:

Hello again,

Well it was my 2nd track day of the year and it was the best so far. The only change to the car was stickier rubber, which actually made a world of difference.

Temperatures were between 60-70 F and cloudy/ sunny so perfect conditions.

The day went very well but I must say I had to stop at my 6th session for 2 reasons: 1) brakes were starting to give up (even with track pads and more resilient fluid) and the AWD light kept blinking for a few minutes during 5 ou of 6 sessions. It means that I got to the limits of the FX.

I must thank gto to have convinced me to buy the better rubber sooner because it allowed me to keep 5-8 mph more for every turn which is quite a lot. I also broke my speed record on straight leading to turn 5 moving up from 102-105 mph to 110-112 mph...and surviving. So gto, my thanks to you! :good:

After the track day, I ordered new pads and I will probably have to replace them all since they sound very close to the limit...the FX pretty much ate them today. It is a very heavy car to chase Porsches and Mustangs all day long. :rotfl:

Overall, I am very satisfied: I managed to get to the limit of the car and I feel ready to move to a new coupe next year, hopefully the new RS5 and the new Infiniti Q60 will be out (with a V6 TT and 350-400hp) and I saw a fair number of used 2015 GTR to sell at more reasonable prices. 2016 should be a car year!

I will upload videos soon.

Cheers!

Fun times for you Yeti and GTO definitely has the most track experience around here and is the guy to go to for track help.
