I have a set of 265 50 20 Parada Spec X. The tread is gone, I have liked the tires, and they seem to be the most favored on the forum. I was going to get another set. Supposedly they are discontinued. I can still get them, but I was trying to figure out what the replacement will be, and if theyre better. The only ones I see are the YK580, but those list as less traction. etc.
The YK580 do say theyre more fuel efficient. why would that be, just because less grip?

Thanks

Funny you say this, because the Hankook Ventus AS discontinued as well... So I had to get the YK580s

I don't understand why they are discontinuing a very good and popular model.

Thanks for the replies. How do you like the YK580's? Are they supposed to be the replacement model? I was able to get some Parada's but it seems odd for them to get rid of a popular tire.

FWIW, I had the Paradas but had bad luck. Several punctures and a blowout on the expressway. I really liked the Falken Ziex S/TZ-04 series but discontinued as well. Wore like iron and non-directional, so easy rotation.

Wow really, that's the the first I have read a bad review on the Paradas on the forum.

I have had vibration issues with Parada's front and rear through two sets of tires, rebalancing didn't help. I have had a couple sets of tires on the FX45 which did not vibrate, so I will not run Paradas again. I didn't like them the first time, but the price drew me in a second time.

I've been running the YK580s for about 30K miles, and I really like them! The tread wear is decent (I'm a relatively spirited driver), and there isn't much road noise. It's an all-season tire, and it handles the snow during the Ohio winters very well.

Prior to these, I had the YK520s, and I had a good experience with those also. I think that they are excellent tires for the money.
