Fast and the Furious 7

Still need to see it...but last Friday night I was in a cab in Miami leaving the airport at 1am and I guess a showing had ended because it was ricer central. Started off with a G37 on Vossens revving on the cab - seriously? It's a yellow cab. Then we were waiting for the light to turn left (2 turn lanes) and a Genesis was in front of us. Light turns green and he doesn't go. Cabbie honks at him and he still doesn't go, then he finally does a burnout and pops a U turn drift while barely avoiding the car next to him. Idiots like these are why cops hassle everyone with modified cars.

For the rest of the night, all I hear is street racing and burnouts from the hotel since it's near a long straight road. 15 years ago when the first one came out, I remember all the morons doing burnouts in the theater parking lot with their Civics. Now I guess the cool thing is to badly drift in your entry level RWD car. The more things change, the more they stay the same...Sort of glad I wasn't home in one of my cars, too much attention.

The "rice" culture is not going away... I see it constantly here in Houston, some idiot doing burnouts from the stop light in the rush hour traffic... why????....
It does make me sad, as these tools do give a bad name to the guys who truly take tuning beyond "coffee-can" exhaust. Every-once in a while, ill get "oh one of these guys" look when I drive my MCS, because it is louder and is lowered, even though, i spent good amount of money on legit upgrades to the suspension and engine.

Ah yes, the good ole G with Vossens.

I always thought that people on forums tended to exaggerate stuff like every G37 is on Vossens and they're so played out. But I spent 1 day in Miami and saw 3 G37's on Vossens; maybe it's because that's where they're based (only saw 2 stock ones). Basically all 3 looked exactly like any car on myG37.com; just choose any picture on there and that's the one I saw.

Also saw a matte orange Maserati with a racing stripe and orange wheels. But I think it was an amateur rap video being filmed or at least I hope that's why it looked like that. Then again, it is Miami...

Yeah, Miami has a different car culture. I don't mean that in a bad way either. Like a buddy of mine with a widebody Charger with flames goes to med school there, and people are always taking pictures of his car. It's nice, but I wouldn't give it a second look, much less stop and takes pictures and stuff. I'm also not really a car show fan either. That's why I've always hung out with the Z guys more here. G guys are more about show and stuff, Z guys actually drive and race their cars. The G and Vossen joke always crack me up though. Can't remember if I've mentioned here, but one guy I know with a G came to a meet. I overheard another buddy with a Z ask him where all the G guys were and if they were too busy polishing their Vossens. They're both cool dudes so it was meant/taken in jest.

It was a great ending. I'm really happy they didn't kill him off and ended it the way they did. Every time I hear this song on the radio I think of Paul now.

Ricers are the worst. Theres a guy in my neighborhood with a old honda civic who thinks hes a street racer and rides around with his little ricer exhaust. Then theres another guy who owns a 90's supra which is a absolute beast.
