Wheel poke issue.

In about two monthes the wheel I really want is coming in a 22x10.5 setup. I really want this wheel to fit while trying to not use spacers so i ditched the 45 offset. then theres only a 20 offset. I have no idea how much the wheel will poke out. does anyone have a similar setup at stock height? or is it safer to just do spacers with the 45 offset. the wheels are Niche Circuit 22x10.5.43578f8ca2936cbdcff43273d466a470.jpg97aa2149231bfc36aeddcf54c0aaff04.jpg

Do you have or intend to do a BBK? That will help determine what will work.

no i am not doing the bbk. these wheels are 28 lbs each and do not add any tension to the brakes. i know i will cpear the brakes but im afraid these will poke out too much.

20 offset is about 40mm further outboard than the stock setup, that would poke quite a bit. The 45mm offset with some spacers would probably be better, but it looks like it would be about 5mm inboard toward suspension/brake components - a 5mm spacer all the way around would probably get you the stock rear spacing and would be flush with the fenders. You can do your calcs online here: http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...285-40-22X10.5ET20&fcl=50mm&wcl=20mm&scl=50mm

I would suggest running a 285/35r22, 285/35r22 or 295/35r22 (optimum to OE diameter on a 22x10.5 wheel) with that setup if you want to be square-stanced. Otherwise go staggered.

Since you are in LA, you are in the hot-bed of wheel/rim distributors. You could probably do some dry-fitting of some wheels at a local shop.

ok. i do like a little poke... but not to much. i really like these wheels... so if i get 10mm spacers all around will it flush the wheels with the fenders?

At 10mm, you're probably going to stick out a bit past the fenders in the front and you'll be about flush in the rear.

+40 would be ideal for darn near flush on the front on a 10.5" wide wheel, and just a smidge inside the rear (better off with a 5mm spacer on the rear with +40).

Get the +45 and play with spacers. The face on the wheel is the same as the +20 so the look isn't changed. +40 in front is probably flush at stock height, but it's going to be not flush in rear. Nothing wrong with having different offsets front and back so you can just get different sized spacers. Better to be a little conservative with offsets since you can always add spacers, but you can't get a less aggressive offset unless you machine the back of the wheel itself.

you think ill clear the strut with a 285/40 all around with a +40?

Without a bbk, yep...no issues. I just did my setup on the fx50s with the same exact setup and had to go 10mm spacer in front to clear the bbk, but if I didn't have to account for that, I'd been flush. I did 15mm in rear. It's looking to be a beefy wide stance that will probably come tighter once I drop it on the H&Rs. Pics coming soon.

if i lower my car on springs with 22x10.5 +40 will the wheel go closer to the strut?

Nope, should be fine. The geometry of the strut is going inboard as the wheel travels upward.
