Sloshing Sound in Back Seat

I'm not sure if this is the correct spot for this post... Please feel free to move if not.

I've had my 2013 FX37 for about a year now. This morning, for the first time, I noticed a sloshing sound coming from under the back seat when the car comes to a stop or start.

I have never noticed this before today. We had very heavy rains yesterday, and the car was parked outside for most of the day. I'm wondering if what I'm hearing is the fuel in the tank (seems they would have figured out how to insulate against this), or if water is somehow getting trapped somewhere under the passenger compartment. This is a very prominent sound, and it must be several gallons of liquid, at least.

Another thing I've noticed is an odd smell in the cabin after a rain... Makes me think there might be something going on.

The car is still under factory warranty, but I thought I would ask here before taking it into the dealer in case it was a common issue,

Since it happened after the rain, I'd suspect water in the cabin. There isn't anywhere on the exterior underside of the car which would trap water. But maybe check the spare tire well. There are usually plugs in there and if one comes loose, water can get in. Are any of your carpets wet? I'm still leaning toward spare tire well for sloshing. Anywhere else in the cabin would be absorbed by the padding and carpet and wouldn't slosh. Spare tire well is bare metal underneath the plastic trim.

Is there any chance that it could be the fuel in the tank? Gauge is reading half full, so there is definitely room for sloshing...

Ok, I checked the spare tire well, and nothing... Dry as a bone. No moisture in the carpet that I can feel. I'm thinking that it must be the fuel in the tank. Can anyone else confirm this happens on their FX37?

Sounds like one of your sunroof drains mustve came off and leaking into your rocker panel?
id pour water on the edges of the sunroof while open and see if it comes out the bottom of the car through
all 4 drains.

That sound like the time my son took my car and left a half full bottle of Vodka under the front seat well?

Definitely not any half full bottles in the cabin. I'm taking it to the dealership next week and will report back.

Here's what I do know:

1) the carpets are all dry
2) the spare tile well is dry
3) I've had the car for about a year, and I just noticed this the other day after the car sat out in the rain all day. Although that wasn't the first time the car had been in heavy rain.
4) I do notice a different smell inside the cabin every time it rains... Sort of a musty smell... It goes away after a day or so. But again, I cannot find any evidence of water in the carpets or anywhere in the cabin.
5) The sound is far louder than a bottle of liquid sloshing around. The fuel tank seems like the most likely culprit other than one would expect that to be better insulated in a car that costs $60k, but that doesn't explain the smell.
6) the tank is currently half full.... I am going to fill it up and see if it still makes the noise.

Will let you guys know what the dealer comes back with. Thanks for t he responses.

Can you please follow-up on what the resolution was? I have a similar issue with my 09 FX50s with occasional gas sloshing around sound when less than full tank of gas and stopping/starting off suddenly. Thanks
