Went outta town for a week and the wife took her 05 FX35 to sears auto for a complete brake job, thinking she would be helping me out. They did rotors, pads and swapped out the bushings etc. Well, her car screeches when coming to slow stops and it has been back to sears 3-4 times ( they were done about 4 months ago, we're just very busy to go there), so at this point I am over it . Planning on taking whatever cheapo pads were put on and going with OEM's.
Do you guys think I need to do anything to the rotors that were put on or can I swap the pads and call it a day? Rotors have no vibration, the brakes just squek.
Where is everyone getting the OEM pads from. I have a Nissan dealership up the road too. Thanks :good:

If the rotors have waves in them change them but if they're good just the pads would do. Oem are good I use EBC pads cost a bit more but you can feel the bite of the pad. I'm sure the guys will chime in with their personal preferences and experiences I myself have no complaints with the EBC pads.

I recommend the Akebonos which are OEM and are good...or go EBC or Hawks...I usually get my pads from ebay. U can get a full set of Akebonons on ebay for about $100

which ebc pads did you get? and when do you feel the difference? cold bite, warm bite, performance?
I got the ebc ultimax oem replacement pads I just feel more bite when I hit the brakes whether driving normal or spirited driving. They also seem to last a bit longer.

Akebono or Hawk Ceramic, both good choices.

Akebono's are not the OEM pads

Ok, so we dont do any racing, just trying to get a standard pad for the car. Just an oem replacment that wont screech or make noise when braking. Thanks
