I don't think so. I think the 265/40 stretched would look smaller because the tire is stretched and the sidewall looks shorter. I think lerry was running 285/40 on bc coils. not sure on his offset though. And what lug nuts did you use they look really goodThanks! They are smaller than stock tires. I wanted a stretch look so I went with the 265. I would of imagine I would have a bigger wheel gap if I went with 285/35 (?)

285/35 would result in slightly bigger wheel gap, it's .5" shorter than 265/40. So there would be .25" more gap. Stretching a tire has no impact on sidewall height, the diameter of the tire can't change, the steel belts underneath are going to keep the same diameter no matter the stretch. But the narrow width of the 265 makes everything look smaller, it's an optical illusion.
