Hi everyone- A little while back I replaced the famous O-ring behind the cooler using a write-up from here and thought it was gone. Well, 2 weeks ago I noticed another drip :eek.:. So today I go to the dealer for a tranny drain and coolant flush, so I asked them to check the leak out. Guy came back and said it was the oil pressure switch and they wanted $259 to replace. Funny thing is , the service guy said "we never replace these"! Just my luck, lol.

I did a search and came up with nothing. Has anyone replaced one of these for a leak problem? Can you use a after-market one instead of the factory switch. Rock Auto has them for around $10 versus the dealers $70. Thanks :good:

I had the same problem a while back. I couldn't figure out what the leak was. I got mine from the dealer and had my mechanic change it and never had a problem since.

The guys that have replaced one. Do u need to put any locktite red or blue on the threads? I wonder if i can go to nissan and get it too.

I'm loosing oil to I wonder it it's this where is this locsted and can u explain the oil

your losing is it noticeably dripping on bottom panel or u checking the dipstick thanks in advance

Oil leak slowly drips onto the floor thru the bottom engine cover. This is normally from the oil ciler cooler o ring. I had fixed that 2x and it still came back. Just recently went to the deqlership for some fluid changes and i had asked them to look at it. They had taken me out there and showed the he leak was actually com from the oil sensor swith right next to the filter.
The piece is metal and plastic pressed together and were it is pressed was the cause of my leak. I am gonna wait to the next oil change so i dont take a oil bath and fix it. Part is also available at nissan for $22 . Good luck
