Plastidip Clear Rear Trim

Everything looked very clean to me before I sprayed it on. Dunno.
@ Lemberg, is it still holding on OK? No scratches either. I found the finish really too delicate.

Pics are 1)filthy with pollen and 2)wet

After about 9-10 months I am very happy with it. It was about 3-4 coats if I remember correctly. I see some wear in some spots, gto, but I think it still looks great.

I'll probably be doing handles soon and upload some pics.

thanks, but I gave up on it. Now the chrome doesnt bother me all that much. I was able to get the lower arc dipped and it stuck, & that works for me. I never understood the aesthetics of that piece.

Did u guys jst mask and spray on the car or did ubremove the trim pieces? Seems hard to mask the Infiniti symbol...how did u do it?

I know this is an older thread but for anybody else thinking of doing this, I did my grille, front emblem, rear emblem, some pieces under my hood and interior pieces. Everything initially came out okay but about the only thing that has held up over the last few months have been Grille, emblems, under the hood and anything that I do not touch on a regular basis.. I did this on my Toyota Highlander and I think for my fx45 I will probably use wrap for the interior and permanent paint for the exterior.

Did mine with black and red. I don't know why, but I was feeling the red on black.

I am with you. Looks like late 90's - early 2000s are back with all the rice.
Good thing its plastic dip. I can always take it off with WD-40

Do you guys think I should just do all black? Yet, I like the red in the emblem. Especially the back with the letters. The trim on the back took a lot of time to do lol.

That is what is so good about plastidip, it is great for trying out different colors and is easily removed. I think the emblem looks fine in red, but not the side trim or the door handles.

Love the front & rear! Looks almost like mine. But i wrapped mine. The red on the side handles & rockers is overkill.

I guess go back to black? Or leave it chrome?
