Question will it fit a FX45 and I see that it has a access door to drain oil, but would we still have to take the entire pan off to access the oil filter?

The oil door will function for filter and drain plug access

We know for certain the 2003-2005 all fit. PorknBeans is going to hopefully be able to test fit it on a local 2006-2008 as well to ensure proper fitment. I expect, although the oem has different part #'s, that these will fit 2003-2008.
 
I want one too, in silver . . but without a logo. IMO, de-badged is much better

I just noticed the loss of the middle lip on bottom. I think normally, those lips help create negative pressure under front end & direct air flow to radiator?

I'm not certain what that "under lip" is for. I just looked it up and my OEM lower engine cover came off about 2.5 years ago. I've been without one ever since, and my engine temp has always remained the same.

I can't say for sure that is isn't intended to affect airflow somehow, but it hasn't effected my engine temp. My driving is high miles and hot temps, as well as stop and go traffic.
