Worried about changing gas brand

Shell and Chevron here. Although all gas in Cali is crap ethanol!
 
Shell for me. The engine seems more powerful with it.

What is the danger if putting race fuel in your ride?? Like putting in 100 octane....would it damage anything??

The FX would love it just costs more Race Fuel up here is 8.49 a gallon.

Yeah its 8.99 a gal here in LA...I wanna try it once jst for the hell of it...should u wait until the tank is empty or can u mix??

Using race fuel would not help at all, in fact it would decrease performance as it has a higher ignition temperature which is pointless unless you are running high compression or forced induction. Also note that most racing fuels are leaded which means it will kill oxygen sensors and catalytic converters so if you do go try it make sure it is unleaded. For the most part though, you may as well take the extra money for $8+/gallon and wipe your rear end with it unfortunately.
