Using race fuel would not help at all, in fact it would decrease performance as it has a higher ignition temperature which is pointless unless you are running high compression or forced induction. Also note that most racing fuels are leaded which means it will kill oxygen sensors and catalytic converters so if you do go try it make sure it is unleaded. For the most part though, you may as well take the extra money for $8+/gallon and wipe your rear end with it unfortunately.
