Decided to replace my oem shift plate with a new one, due to scratches and chips on the plate. I have provided the part number, a little DIY, and pictures for anyone interested in swapping out theirs on a 1st Gen.

PART # 96940- CG000 INDICATOR ASSY-TORQU
PRICE $115.16

INSTRUCTIONS: See Diagram Below
*Very easy process.
1. Put the FX in Neutral, hit the E-Brake.
2. Remove the Shift Knob. Pull the lower ring down, then remove the "c" clip. The knob will pop right off.
3. Remove the center panel. Lift the center console up in the back, behind the cup holder. Then slide the front off by pulling it towards the back gently (it's held in by clips, no screws). Disconnect few electrical harnesses and you are good to go.

Nice. I think its a bit pricey. I would spend the $ on the +06 shift panel and boot for a sportier look.
