sorry if this has been posted before.. it's been awhile since i visited this site.. anyway..
after almost giving up on running spacers on my front because of the fr#$^@#$%^ steering wheel shake, i found a solution posted on another site.. short background story.. with 20mm ichiba v2 on, steering wheel shakes on oem rims.. replaced tie rod ends, got an alignment, checked front suspension.. still get that stupid shake.. decided to just go with rear spacer installed for staggered look since last year.. 3 days ago did another quick search and found out that copper wire #10 is your best friend.. the hubcentric ring on v2 is too short when installed with oem rims.. use copper wire #10 on to push the hubcentric ring further out.. did this on all 4 spacers and the steering wheel shake is gone!!! GONE!!! F@#$%^@$%^@!#GONE!!! :good:

Great info. Members who have spacers should definitely consider this add-on.

LOL, earlier, I said that a few years ago one of my best friends did this.
The thread that you linked to is my friend's thread. Jonas and Jefferson have met him. It's a small world.

Why not just buy Hubcentric Rings

I have them with my 25mm H&Rs with the 22s. When you have the OEM wheels you don't need them.

The Plastic ones because of rust issues but if are like me I only run the 22s during Spring and Summer therefore I have the Aluminum.

The Ichiba wheel spacers are hub centric to infiniti specs but according to the thread, its not " long enough" which can cause wheel shake as it doesn't seat properly. with the copper wire, it will crush and form itself when you tighten the wheel to push the bug centric ring out to allow it to seat properly.

Ahhh..., that explains it. Thanks

This is really good to know. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you use one piece spacers then no need for the DIY? I am looking to put spacers on my truck with oem 20" rims.

I bought two types of spacers. One with the sleve and the other without to stop this friggen wheel shake. Both give me wheel shake. Right now i have the spacer with lip built on and shakes. Ill go back to the other spacer and ill try the 10mm copper wire and see what happens.
