Can't Car Wash At Home?!!! LAW!!! TICKET!!!!!

In my idea ONR, Detailers Pride rinseless wash would be a good way to clean your car without using to much water or leave dirt. Another is steam cleaning.

ONR has great support in a detailing forum I frequent. (Autogeek)
I myself use only Meguiars professional line since they sell in gallon sizes.
Minor dust/dirt I would use a 5 gallon bucket with 2 gallons of water, 10 thick microfibers and a cup of Meguiars last touch. I proceed with a spray bottle of last touch and new towel with no pressure wipe on each panel. Lubricity and no pressure is key.

By the way, dusting the car would also a good idea before using any type or brand of rinse less wash. It will remove those dust that could clog your mf towel or mitts.

Yes, dragging dust on the paint will result in fine scratches.. get her wet first and it slides off.. what she said?

Always use lubrication. That applies to more than just washing your car.

But you should never touch the paint of your car with anything unless you have something to lubricate the surface with.

Been doing this method for sometime now and had no problem with fine scratches even checking with a swirl finder. The thing is you have to glide it and not rubbing it within the paint.
