Will 350z exhaust fit on my fx35? What modifications needed?

So long story short my stock exhaust is not in the greatest condition and i can get a 350z exhaust off an 03 for $100 in pretty good condition. I have an 05 fx35 awd and wanted to know what i needed to do to get it to work. Thanks guys

With the amount of work it takes to get it to fit you are better off finding a used FX exhaust.

You'd need the midpipe extended, as well as the tips. I'm not sure if the y-pipe will clear the AWD front transfer case either.

Would a used g35 exhaust be the same problem?

^yes. (if its a coupe) you need to extend tips and the mid pipe plus the Y pipe usually doesn't clear AWD.

G35 would just need the tips extended a few inches, although might have the same issue with the y-pipe. There is a good amount of members in the NYC area, so your chances of finding an OEM exhaust is pretty good.

You could keep your y-pipe if it's in good shape and use the rest. Exhaust shop has to extend midpipe and tips, but it's not expensive.

I had a 350z muffler on my fx and it fit like a glove...the sound wasnt that much of a difference.
