Hi Guys!

Great site! been reading a lot on it! well for years I have wanted an FX35 in orange, and i finally decided to do it, sold my 2002 Dodge Dakota( 10 MPG) to get the downpayment on one. Main issue being , there are no Orange FXs for sale in my area, I have found one in Queens Village NY. 07 Orange, Tech Package, Sport Package, 74,000 miles. my issue is i have a problem buying a vehicle sight unseen. I was wondering if anyone lives in the area and would be willing to go and have a look at it for me? make sure nothing horribly wrong, everything works as supose to and such. im still up in the air if i would have it shipped here or fly out and get it. but any help with this would be great.

Deposit has been placed! its on hold for 7-10 days. hoping someone can see it so I can go ahead with the green light, if someone here is able to see it, please talk to me so i can notify the dealer you are coming for me, so they can get it ready for the test drive

Looked at the pics and have some concerns:

1) passenger foglight looks like it's yellow/broken and water filled
2) in the trunk there seems to be loose wires coming out of the side of the car, maybe from a subwoofer box being sloppily removed?
3) The wheels seem to be pretty scuffed up

^ +1 good eyes Mr Baker, "sophisticated ignorance" lmfao... Back on topic, seemed like the cupholder door might not be opening properly to the fully open position, no biggie, other than that if the car drives solid should be a fair deal if they come down a little in price, seems a little high to me.

Yes I have seen those, the seller is telling me its in excellent condition. but its a dealer so im not so sure how much to believe him. i see the foglight! thanks for point that out. Thats a cheapish repair. I saw the trunk thing could not tell what infact that was. i also saw some issues in the wheels. They are a no haggle dealer, so they are not going to come down on the price, to be honeset i have not seen a fully loaded FX for less then that with those ammt of miles? thats why im really hoping someone can get their eyes on it. and tell me for sure YES its a a good vehicle OR STAY AWAY! I have another one on the back burner in AZ, as far as the cup holder lid not fully opening, are they spring loaded or do you have to open them manually. is there a way it will jsut sit there?

Let's see the one in AZ. Will probably have less rust. The upholder springs up but will clip down

cant post web addresses yet please add what you need to in the front

The second one appears to have the interior in better shape, comparing the front driver seats, NY one shows decent wear signs.
Body/paint looks well taken care off, NY has a big scratch above the left tail light and maybe it's the light/way pic is taken but the front bumper might have been painted.
Even though the AZ one is a higher mileage, still visually looks better. But still someone needs to test drive them :)

For sure, i did notice that with the interior, the AZ one, has amazing documentation, Carfax shows oil change every 5,000 miles, but i wanted the sport package. thats why i went towards the NY one first, but thats also why i have a calling out for someone in NY to visually inspect that one. the dealer is WELCOMING someone to come and look at the NY vehicle, tells me they will also tell me it is in excellent condition, even offered to have me have a 3rd party company come out to inspect it. thats what I dont get, if infact it does have issues, why would a dealer be so willing and want me to have friends come out, or even 3rd party dealers.

To be honest some dealers can't really tell if a car had anything done to it, if done very well, or they take a chance by offering inspection hoping the buyer won't bring/send someone over.
But again I could be wrong.
How is the CarFax on the NY one? Not that it should be deciding factor, but helps to get a better idea.

Maybe I should just order one of these? and be sure everything is good?

the carfax is good, it has lived in NY its life, does not show any accidents, yes understand dealers dont know anything but i told him I was having a friend come and he said GREAT! let them come and they will tell you how nice this is! so im not sure. i mean i would like it checked out for sure, before I buy it i wanted it checked out, deposit has been placed on it for 7 days. hopefully someone in that timeframe, would be able to get over to look over it for me

Yes I put a refundable deposit on it,

Yes tell them about me, my name is David Wright. and I have been working with salesman of Esa. I really appreciate it. Any idea when you might be able to? i still might have an inspector look at it, to make sure but it would still be AWESOME if a FXer could have a look, if its today or tomorrow ill wait on the inspection, no point in paying for it if you say its crap ya know. I put the deposit on it, on Saturday, he said its good 7-10 days, so still have time to have someone here check it out AND have it inspected for further in depth review.

on the notes of the foglight, i did email the dealer about that. this is the response I got

"Good Morning,

Yes that would def be replaced. Also the windshield wiper arm will also be replaced, that minor stuff all gets handled during service/inspection. Then it will go threw an extensive detailing process. To be honest the 1 and only thing you will need to is a Owners Manual. That's the only thing we don't have with the truck. Everything else will be 100% on our end. "

Sure, I will actually be finding out about the Loan Tuesday, so that would be perfect, I could see what you had to say about that vehicle then have it inspected? possibly they said 2-3 days for timing for an inspection, so that would work out amazing actually. thanks guys I REALLY appreciate it!

Another question for you guys, are there a LOT of FX's in the NYC area? this vehicle has been for sale for 2 months, if its as awesome as it seems price..miles..and such....is that suprising? or is the market flooded with them there?
