Hello all,

Upon trying to install a 64GB USB key into the FX50s and realizing that it wasn't working, I noticed (via the manual) that the audio console supports only FAT32 and other lessor and or older variations. There's a simple fix to this which involves using Windows to initialize the preliminary formatting, and then switching over to a 3rd party application which can proceed to format larger volumes within the FAT32 system. If this is troubling you let me know and i'll provide a write up. This will allow you to use 64 & 128GB USB sticks.

Cheers.

i have problem with CF cards. system can read only 535 songs :( and i don't know what to do with this problem:(

Models with navigation system:
Folder levels: 8, Folders: 512 (including root folder), Files: 5,000

Models without navigation system:
Folder levels: 8, Folders and files: 999 (Max. 255 files for one folder)

These are the root level database limitations set by the system. Are all of your songs located in a single folder? Or are they spread throughout multiple folders? ie Artist, Album etc...

Chances are that the media controller can't create a database larger than the 535 songs you have which is strange. I imported my entire Itunes library to my 64GB USB key and haven't had a problem.

Maybe your CF card is a lower speed class, which could potentially be limiting it's accessibility...

I'd suggest trying to transfer a larger amount of files to a USB key, if the problem doesn't exist there then you know that the CF card is the problem.

ADDITION ----

My problem at the moment is that the system doesn't recognize FLAC audio, so i'm having co convert most of my collection. Bluetooth is out of the question because it compresses the absolute shit out of the audio stream, same thing using an analog based auxiliary. USB and CD is the only way i can retain a high level of sound quality, but then again I might be able to use an external media controller. I've only just started playing around with it, but so far i'm happy with my 64GB USB solution.
