I'm going to be changing my rims and wondering which would look better:

I like the newer style more, think they cost a lot more too. Are you planning to lower it? 20" wheels looks way too small on 2nd generation FX IMO? Maybe with lowering springs it will look better.

2nd image with a drop, I have grown to like the GTR's in a slightly lighter color, Hyper silver? Not OE FX, Not gun metal, somewhere in-between......and i agree with Z the GTR's should be 21's, would be PERFECT.

That's what I thought too, the newer ones tend to fit the 2nd gen better. I'll eventually lower it and 20" does look a bit small on the 2nd gen, problem is 21" doesn't have a whole lot of options for tires...

The CBA's (First GTR rim) look much better on the 1st gen as it was more box shaped. The 2nd gen FX is more roundish and that's why the OEM 21's would look best...Now if the GTR's were 21" they would definitely look much better... I think the GTR Premiums look more suited but somehow I'm fixated on the CBAs.... and you're right, they would look better in an in-between color rather than just black..

Thing too is my car's the KAD color code, its a dark gunmetal so I'm somewhat limited in a way..maybe get them powdercoated a color in between black and gunmetal...

The one concern I do have is with the rear wheels sticking out...

Logan, your GTRs two sets of rear rims, how's that sitting without sticking out?

Black chrome is a nice color too:wink:

I vote for GTRs in OEM color or similar! And def 21" + what they said above :)

Ya see that's what's making me go back to the CBAs... now I just have to figure out how I'm going to get the rears not to stick out... I wonder how the rears would sit on the front..maybe I'll square them with pure rears

if the pricing was the same, id take the premiums hands down. i need another set of cba's to make a square setup 2 :(.

3rd image with a drop, or you can just forget that and get 22's with a drop.

be different. Go GTR premium in gunmetal. A bunch of people are running GTR 20's now…. Time for a new thing ;)

True...though my car's gunmetal already...I guess I'd have to go with a darker gunmetal..

Its one thing to see different wheels in photoshop but another thing in person. I just wish I had access to both and see which one would look best...
