Hey guys, I've been thinking about doing this setup. I love the minimal brake noise/dust build up. What is a good set of rotors to go with them? I would like to go with drill/slotted setup.

R1 concepts premium rotors or Stoptech rotors are the good

i have the r1 premium drilled and slotted. amazing at first. garbage after 15k

That's why I'm asking around, trying to figure out what's good and last for a good price. I have stop tech brakes in the rear and I hate it. It has so much brake dust it's ridiculous.

Akebono ProAct Ceramic pad is my pick for dustless braking :smile (2):

I have been using EBC Redstuff on my Z32 and FX for a while now. Awesome brake pad with good bite, virtually zero dust. They are just a bit squeaky in cold weather for the first couple of stops though.

Well said. On the same boat.

If you don't mind, can you both please elaborate on why our rotors are "garbage after 15k"

What makes a rotor garbage after miles driven?

Stoptech pads will give you more brake dust than normal because they are an aggressive street pad. Going with a ceramic pad with give you little to no dust.

For others viewing this thread, there's more to rotors than reviews strictly based off mileage. There's quite a few questions to be asked when it comes to rotors or pad purchase. We're here to provide answers. If you want to PM ME regarding brake questions and/or concern please do so.

Not trying to bad mouth your products. I made the mistake of buying drilled and slotted rotors with out doing research. Drilled and slotted rotors for everyday driving is an overkill. More looks then function with less braking surface.

My issue with these rotors is that after about 10-15k miles, the brakes don't feel sharp anymore. They give that warped/no bite feeling when pressing the brakes. In my head drilled/slotted means the brakes stay cooler and way less prone to warp. After the above miles occurs these rotors don't hold up as they are supposed to as stated in online descriptions.
Another issue with these rotors is that they gave me wheel shake from day one. How do i know the answer to this. Bought new rotors and pads, went for a drive and the shake is gone. Again im not saying your products are bad. Maybe i just got a bad set or something. Who knows. To each is their own with their brake experiences. This is just my trip.

WHen i said 15k, i meant 15000 km ( about 9000 miles). they warped and had crazy shake and didn't bite as good as said above. I was lucky that you guys took care of warranty for the fronts only ( even though it out of warranty bout couple months which i appreciate). Well the fronts seem to be happening again. same symptoms. not as good as a bite anymore, rusting and seems that the material is fading fast again. The new fronts been on for about 6000km at the moment. I have a feeling that the fx uses the fronts too much and puts too much load on the fx for the drilled and slotted brakes.

i would like to note that front pads still look in good shape and has tons of life left.
