Hey guys, I've been looking at installing the grape seed cabin filter in my FX35 though what i'm concerned about is if this filter will fit right in since these are normally found on FX50's with the advanced climate control system. Reading the manual it says it works with an option found on the left climate control knob which gets the filter to work with the A/C?

It fits I made a dit

Its basically the same as the regular filter except it has a grape seed extract in the filter to help with seasonal allergies.

The FX50 although it has the grape seed filter it also has something else. It has a built in ionizer in the climate control system. So its a different system.

Awesome! Thanks you! That ionizer sounds sweet though I read it requires the use of the A/C to make it work..

Is the Grape Seed Polyphenol MicroFilter still available? On infinitiparts it shows the part has been updated to a new part. B7277-1CA1A does not say anything about it being grapeseed.

Interesting, I'll look into it. I bought one at the dealer. Half carbon on one side half grapeseed the other

Just checked my filter and it says B7277-1CA1A and its grapeseed polyphenol. Checked infinitipartsusa.com and the FX50 filter is the part number we both have, see the link:

The normal white filter is 999A2-VX000, just like shown here:

I browsed through the pages on infinitipartsusa.com, they don't advertise, but its grapeseed polyphenol.

Looks like the standard "white" paper filter is only $23.75 so for $37.50 I would hope it actually is the "grape seed" filter. This is one of the reasons I got rid of my FX50S, couldnt aford the cabin filters!

I was having some internal fogging issues and read somewhere in the FSM (or perhaps the owner's manual) that replacing the filter would be beneficial. I was in a pinch going on a road trip and needed one up quickly so I just picked one up from Advanced Auto, I think it was a Purolater replacement. I'll be honest and say I have not noticed any difference from an air quality perspective, albeit that's not exactly scientific, but it certainly cured the fogging conditions. I will probably just pick one of those up again when the time comes.

The grapeseed filter has two purposes...first it has the carbon on one side....that filters out allergens, pollution, etc.. yes it won't be 100% but pretty damn good compared to the white regular micro filter. The second purpose is the grapeseed extract which also adds to filtering pollution but it has the polyphenol that prevents your windows from fogging.
