FX Suggestions

So I was deciding on which FX to buy next month. But I'm still confused on which to buy! Both generations of the FX look so appealing that it just makes me wonder which one will suit me. Any suggestions?
 
Newer generation. More power, technology, reliability and of course better looking :-)

Both gens look awesome but the interior on the 2nd gen is way nicer
 
I love both Gens of the FX.
The 1st Gen has very good reliability as many members here can attest to.
Both are great looking rides, I do like the body style of the 1st Gen a bit better than the 2nd Gen.
The Tech features and performance are obviously a bit better in the 2nd Gen.

I don't think you can go wrong with either Generation, take them for a few test drives and get the one that you like.
 
It really depends what you want to put into it and what you want out. Aside from minor styling changes (lots of regular people can't tell the difference), there aren't an overwhelming ton of differences strictly between 1st gen and 2nd gen. What I mean is (before everybody jumps down my throat) that there are differences and advances commonly throughout the now 12 year history of the model. Sure, 09's and above have more tech than 08's and below, but there are plenty of milestones and other intervals also.
 
Except for one thing. 1st gen drivers get more chicks. I don't really know why, but just happens to be true. I read it somewhere.
 
The 2nd gen also has a revised structure. Its around 20% more structurally rigid. It also has a better suspension and quieter ride than the 1st gen. Also a 7 speed transmission where as the 1st gen uses the 5 speed. It also has a different engine than the 1st gen FX and puts out more hp at 303 hp.
 
Depends what you want. Luxury or sport. Or you can have both in an FX50 ;)
 
Personally, I like the body style better on the 1st gen. That's why I have a hard time letting go of mine. Despite the better power, exterior, tech of the 2nd gen, I still hang on to my old '07 35. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. LOL

The second gen is newer, of course it has improvements, when the 3rd gen comes out it will have improvements.... 1st gen owners love their first gen, second gen owners love their second gen, it happens on every forum... tell us a bit about yourself...what you are looking for in a car, how much you are willing to spend and then we can help figure which one would best suit you.

Yea as mentioned before getting a budget and needs will help out with what will fit you best. I love my first gen but I do like newer things and if it was in my budget I would probably end up with a second gen for the minor upgrades. Seeing the second gens that come to the meets I seem to like more and more.

I do think first gen seems a little more of a sporty bumpier ride where as the second gens clearly have more of a luxurious ride. Like people say there's a lot of bias in this discussion. Another thing to consider is what you want to do with it. If you like modding your car there are way more options for a first gen than second right now.

I think the second gen limited may be my favorite thanks to seeing Rips all the time. Yet, like everyone before get a few more things on here for us to go by and test drive some and see what fits you.
