As for first gen people, don't lose hope! We are in the process of researching and developing knobs for the first Gen. But since we do not have a first Gen FX to test, I will need to recruit help from you guys. If you are interested in helping us develop first gen knobs, please PM me, Thanks!

1st gen. Local and willing to help.
 
I'm interested in a set for 2013 G37 Sedan. Is the OEM piece hard to take off? What does it involve and is it hard? I don't want take apart the console when the car is brand new...

It is as simple as pulling the old knobs off and replacing them with the stainless steel ones

I'm in for a set of 1st gen buttons once they're developed

We've done some research and noticed that 03~05 FX and 06~08 FX have different interiors. We've sourced a 03 FX dash panel to study off.

Installation is extremely easy. Just pull off the stock knobs and pop these in. You do not need to take any dash pieces apart.

It's more of a matter of if we can make pieces for the 1st gen or not. If the factory knobs are extremely hard to remove, if they cannot be replaced once taken off, if something might break during removal or installation, then that could prevent us from developing the knobs for the 1st Gen. With that said, if it's something that CAN be done, and won't be a problem for folks to get them installed, then MOQ is the last thing we would be worried about. We make everything in small batches, so we won't be requiring 6000 sets of deposits to get these going :rotfl:
 
Lol, I hear you on that, I think they look nice, but I really can't get overly excited about a knob.
