Hi everyone, Got the code for a bank 2 cam sensor code as the car stuttered last week before the SES, slip amd VDC lights came on..Got a great deal with the sensors, decided to change both and also the crank..been 2 years since changing them last..Anyway changed all sensors but 1 hour later, while driving around, the check lights came on again, The car didn't stutter, the lights just came on..Checked the codes and it still says the cam sensor, reset the ECU and did a total check with my mechanics scan,, everything was fine, encluding the cam sensors, drove home and no lights, power was regained to my fx but the following day when I was driving home back up the mountain where I live,,the lights came on again, Again the car felt normal, not like the first time when the car really stuttered and the lights came on..Anyone had this experiance before? Any suggestions apart from taking the sensor out and re putting it back in...Will go on Monday to check again with my buddy..I will also ask him to check the wires..As u all know the sensor is tricky to get to and can only use ur hand to disconnect it and put the new sensor in..Any tips on how to check thewires..etc..Such a pain in the butt! Tks all! IS is the Best!!!

Is there any way I can check if there is fluid or dirt in the sensor socket before it goes into it? Bank 1 is the passenger side and Bank 2 is the drivers side..Correct??

Can someone also give me the correct Nissan OEM sensor part number..I have 23731-AL61A for cam bank 2 and 23731-6J90B, 23731-CJ90B and 23131-6J90B for bank 1(3 different part #Why??) What is the correct part # for Crank sensor as we only have one(Thank god) I have a 2005 FX35 BTW..Tks

Hey Sohail! My sensor(s) failed during the back end of my build cycle. The engine would run then it would just shut off, then after a few dyno runs it quit running completely. Once the sensor was replaced it was all good. I wasn't all up in the sensor swap so I can't comment on contaminents in the sensor socket. My replacement was fairly inexpensive (not siggesting you go in and swap your out again) good luck tracking down the issue.

hi all

what's the code again, you did not mention about the code, u just said cam sensor.

yeah, sorry, the code was p0340 cam sensor bank 2 prob...just got it changed for the 2nd time..checked the wires and socket and the wires. sensor and socket was sprayed with a special lubricant especially 4 those purposes..drove around for an hour or so and so far, everything is fine..lets keep our fingers crossed..tks all

Not too expensive I hope. The cost of higher performance? =)

no, not expensive at all! again its who u know here in taiwan..luckily, i have 3 great friends who have their own places to fix cars..
and two are local...the second time the cam sensor went in, i could hear the click sound when it went into the socket..strangely, i didnt hear it the first time..anyway so far so good..tks all, especially lance!
