depends on your brand. id get higher quality ones like h & r or ichiba. Had mine on for a year summer and winter no issues.

I drove on a 12,000 mile trip last year with my Ichiba 15mm spacers on last year. Just make sure they are installed and torqued properly.

yeah im running H&R...thanks for the advice problably ill just get them retorque for safety!

You have a good make spacer. After my spacers have been installed for around 100 miles I remove the wheels and re-torque the spacers to 80 ft/lbs, then reinstall the wheels and re torque them. that is what is recommended.
Our wheels and spacers on the FX are torqued to 80 ft/lbs.

I've driven up to bar harbor main and back from Ct. with no problems.

If they're properly installed, wheel spacers aren't any more dangerous. Usually the issue is improper installation which leads a stud to break or something. Keep in mind that they're very, very tough. Even no name spacers shouldn't be an issue, the hardware is usually sourced from the same suppliers as the name brands. And most failures are on the track under extreme conditions. It would be rare to have one fail on the highway while cruising.

Thanks for the info shadow..like said im just gonna get them retorque and i think it should be no problemo!

I drove my FX from NY to TX about a year ago with no issues. I had them visually inspected and retorqued including the wheels prior to the trip. Running on Ichiba 30mm ver 2.

Spacers are safe. Running spacers for 3 years with no problems. Just make sure to buy brand spacers like Ichiba, H&R or Eibach and torque them properly.
