Drivers seat sways back and forth

If there is a rocking sensation when you bring the car to a stop, it is a known issue and I believe a TSB was issued for this. I had this done on mine and the dealer fixed it at no cost to me.

Look under your seat and check to see if you have any loose seat support bars. I had the same problem with my FX45's seat moving side to side and I decided to replace the seat frame assembly due to having a broken support bar. Some other FX owners have had a shop weld the support bar back in place on the frame, however I opted for the seat assembly due to having a bad seat motor that needed replacing also. I spend $500.00 on my new seat frame assembly and did the work myself, however if you have to pay someone else to install the new frame you could be paying about twice as much.Welding the support bar could cost between $50.00 to $200.00, depending on where you go.

Hey all -- brand new member. Just picked up a 2003 FX. Also an owner of 300zx Twin Turbo (91), 2004 Nissan Quest, and 71 240Z. Former owner of an 88 Turbo, 84 NA, 91 Maxima, and 93 Quest. One of the crossmember bars under driver seat has a broken weld...will be finding a local shop to weld it. Rest seems fine. It was one of two things I found wrong with the car when checking it out. More to come, I'm sure. But it's an immaculate beauty. Will post profile/photos, etc when I can. Add a dot com to my user name to check out my 300zx website :) Excited to be an Infinity Owner for the first time.

LOL -- speaking of my S30 -- after owning it (in the driveway) for like 6 years, I finally got it registered (as collector/vintage vehicle). Means I don't have to do emissions :) Just today I got out and started it up -- carbs and TB's gum up pretty bad after even only a couple months of sitting. I need to clean them again and get it tuned. Your request for pictures makes me realize I actually haven't taken full pictures of this car pretty much since I got it. Crazy to think -- just individual things like the work I've done. LOL -- so -- new goal -- get this thing prettied up, running well, and get some pics. It's pretty much stock, minus the crappy paint it currently has. I'm actually thinking of going flat black on it once it's running right. I have a lot to do on it. Was gung ho the first couple weeks, and then only here and there after that...and hence sitting for years.

Anyway -- being that this in the Infinity forum, I'll need to get you all some pics of my FX35 here soon. It's beryllium with burnt orange leather, performance package. Has 147,000 miles but honestly looks like 30,000 :) Runs great, too. The agent at the bank that looked at it was shocked. It's WAAAY nicer than others I looked at with lower mileage and thousands more. As soon as I'm a reputable member I'll make it happen :)

Local mechanic will be welding front crossmember tomorrow or Friday.

Edit/ $50 and done! Now no currently known issues :-)
