What do you dislike most about your FX?

Man I would have waited bro. If the iridium blue would have been available in 5.0 I would have bought it or even waited but they only offered that color on the 35 limited edition so I decided to get the LE because I loved the color but a year later they decided to offer it as a standard color, lol I got screwed and could have gotten a 5.0.

I have already done the ARK and cold air intake. Only thing left is HFC's and a tune but even with that it won't make a huge difference. Only way to see some serious power is with a supercharger or turbo which is 10k plus so not worth it when you can just get the 5.0 and mod it.

My problem started a few years ago, I met up with Jonas and he came on one of my groups day long car cruises in Ontario, I loved his FX. Then to compound it, I met up with the Chicago boys and spent a day with them, all but Ian and I had V8s. That V8 growl and power got to me and next thing I knew I was on the hunt for a FX50S.

You made the right decision, Wayne. I have my eye out for a 5.0 QX. Im not sure that I'll be as lucky as Edwin, but as soon as I find something black and not too far off, she's getting traded in.
 
Yup me too, I'm looking for a iridium blue 5.0 and found one in NY but hopefully it doesn't sell by June. If it's still available then, I will pick it up.

Rip, that happened to me and I lost out.
When I was in California on my Route 66 trip, (near you as a matter of fact), my salesman called me and he had a low mileage white FX50s and did I want it. I told him I couldn't see it for another 3 weeks so I took a chance that it would still be there when I returned to Canada. Big mistake, it sold two days before I got back.
It took me a long time to find another and it was not quite as nice as the other one.

If if it is really what you want grab it now.
 
The problem is I'm in Chicago and don't have my fx currently, it's in Cali, otherwise I would drive to NY and trade it in.

Damn! All this talk about fx50S with V8 and 390 hp makes my 45 with 315 hp look so small! Just kidding! :rotfl:
I'm SO happy that I waited for the V8:smile (2):. I hope everyone looking for that special 50 gets what they want!

Oman... You know i thought the same way too. I said to myself if i dont get it its gona be gone and ill regret it... But if u do make the move if the offers right. make sure u remove your bbk and aero kit & stuff before u bring it in for a trade

I love my FX50S, it's a (usually) reliable ride. I still have 2 issues that are plaguing me at the moment. I still have a nasty vibration coming from my new wheel/tire setup and I'm getting a good bit of noise from the right front corner. Had my mechanic check the hub assembly up front and zero noise when he ran it on the lift. I am thinking that may happen due to the lack of load when running it on the lift. The vibration seems to be coming from the actual tires themselves. I ran a cheaper set of tires after reading numerous reviews that seemed positive about the tires and now feeling a bit of regret in going with these things. He took a video of the wheels/tires on the balance machine (the mounting/balancing was out by up to 100 grams from the distributor!) and the tires themselves have an uneven radius it seems. It's slight, but it really is annoying. He tried to remount/balance and got them to balance, but the stupid tires are out of true. The wheel is fine, no vibe. So, I have maybe 500 miles on these tires and seriously thinking that I should just straight up replace them with a different set and not go with the cheaper brands - looking at Nittos, Yokos and Toyos. Very freaking annoying. I want to get these track issues squared-away before my next project on the exhaust work.
 
What happens when you switch your wheels and tires from the back to the front?
never heard of Delinte tires.
 
Sounds like it could very well be the tires. I second Wayne's recommendation on doing a rotation. It's an easy and effective way of isolating the vibration issue.

trust me the GTR engine would be fine. you could mod it yourself without spending the premium on the nismo

2 things that are bothering me:

1. constant humming from the A/C! since day one, dealer can't identify it, claims they don't hear it lol.
2. rough uneven shifting of the 7-speed tranny

others (not as serious, actually hoping for some input to improve)

3. handling - my daily driver for the past year has been my GTR, so obviously I'm spoiled but how can I get the FX to handle more like a car (possibly lower it?)
4. ride quality - this is probably a tire issue. my summer dunlops seem to take a long time to warm up
