Ok I have new 'brighter' bulbs and i'm going to replace them at the weekend, I just did a search and I can't find a thread, that's why I'm asking, has anyone posted a DIY to change the bulbs, or can someone give me simple instructions? Thank you in advance. Mark

6000k direct replacement. I have not fitted them yet, doing it at the weekend, i'm should be able to fit them but I was looking for a DIY thread just to make sure.

That's what I was looking for, I want it to match the whiteness of the LED's

Beware of the cheaply priced HID bulbs made in Asia. I bought a pair for about $40 about six months ago, and I already have to replace one of the bulbs because it flickers on and off. I would stick with the big three well-known HID bulb companies for now on. GE, Osram, and Sylvannia. The bulb change is usually pretty simple. Unscrew cap, remove igniter from back of bulb, and unclip bulb from housing. Reverse to install. However, you may have to remove the intake or coolant bottle to have enough room to work.

On the 2nd gen remove the rubber cover on the side of the engine bay and remove the cap. Then unclip the pins and pull the bulb out. Make sure when you put the bulb back that the wire that connects to the bulb is out of the way and secured only if you have adaptive headlights that move with the steering other wise your going to get an error code on the dash.

I would like to thank everyone for helping me get the headlight bulbs installed, it was actually very simple but knowing exactly what to do made all the difference! They look exactly like I wanted, I went with 6000, I did not need them to be brighter I just wanted the clean white look to match the LED's and they nailed it, I just now have to get the fof lams changed at the weekend, that's a slightly bigger project!

What are the brightness of the factory bulbs? I want to change my fogs and dlrs to match without changing the headlights.
