Just wanted to share some pics of a friends 08 Infiniti FX 35 with a complete interior swap. Many of you already have seen what the wheat interior looks like, well my fried is changing his whole interior to black suede and leather with double white stitching. I will posts pics of his progress just in case anyone else on here was thinking of doing the same. this is costing him quite a bit of money but he has it and he likes his vehicles completely custom. Here are a few pics of the dash. His doors are in the process of getting done. He bought black OEM carpet and seat belts as well. He painted the vents and other little things that he couldn't wrap. All the dash pieces that were brushed aluminum have been painted white, the pics look like aluminum still but they are not. Sorry for the bad pics as I was using my phone. 20130528_223415_zps6617e7c7.jpg20130528_223410_zpsc2c582a1.jpg20130601_115431_zpsd16075b8.jpg

Very nice looking FX!!! What's he lowered on?

He's on air bags, if that's what you're asking. It is costing him quite a bit for the swap. the dealership charged him like $1600 I think for the black seat belts. Much like myself he doesn't care much for the clear tails. When he's done their won't be anything at all inside that is wheat. Lucky for me I get most of his old wheat pieces.

I'm sorry but $1600 for black seatbelts is not worth it. For what he is spending on changing this interior that way, he could probably have just bought a white FX with black interior.

He looked everywhere for a salvaged fx with black interior and couldn't find one. He also didn't want to paint his black. Like I said, he has the money and doesn't want to take any short cuts. He wants it done right. I personally agree its too expensive but if you have the money why not?

Yeah I guess so. I'd be spending it on mods like engine, (twin turbo if he's a 35) and stuff. $1600 could've gotten him a BBK. Instead, he got oem seatbelts.i dunno. Makes me a little sad. Haha

I guess those pictures aren't big enough. If you look again you will see that he has Brembo big brakes and cross drill rotors. Once his interior is done, he is getting a custom twin turbo installed as well.

Maybe the new oneself come with black interior but I agree, I don't think the 1st gen fx had white on black models. Like the dash, reminds me of that orange Russain FX that had the quilted seats and leather dash. Does the passenger airbag still work when there's a leather or surge stitched dash? I hate my wheat interior, I shoulda bought black..

I don't think the passenger air bag will work. My friend doesn't care as noone is usually in his passenger seat. The only issue is, if he gets in a accident and the air bag goes off, his dash is ruined and money wasted.

my friend finally got his FX back, so here are a few pics for those who might consider redoing their interior. Sorry for the bad pics. I will try to get him to come to a meet if the GTAFX guys decide to have one. 20130715_203914_zps245698d5.jpg20130715_203904_zpse49ff7d4.jpg20130715_193022_zpsc5a75121.jpg20130715_193413_zps34271013.jpg20130715_193008_zps191e2837.jpg20130715_192948_zps1808f988.jpg
