Hard drive question

I'm sure this question has a simple answer... I have recently bought an 09 FX50S and I wanted to add a cd to the hard drive, I did what it said in the manual, put in the tape select the record button and played the tape, its not there, the only thing in their is a cd from the previous owner...what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Are you using a real cd bought from the store or a burned cd or mp3 cd?

One that you can buy in Best Buy/Target or Walmart with music already on it for example. Not a one you burned on your computer.

Now that we have cleared up the fact I'm using the 'proper' Cd's can anyone help, I would hate to just leave this... I had to put up with playing the whole of Mam 'friggin' Mia so my wife could have it on the hard drive and when I checked it was not there????

Try resetting everything back to factory settings I did that when I got mine, its been working fine.
