Some pictures of the Rear Aero Bumper Protector installed....

Guys, thanks for all the kind words, suggestions, and abuse. haha. I am doing my homework right now about getting these damn side skirts. Just for you guys! (And the Mrs. of course!). I just need to find out what the hell the difference is between the under door protectors and side sills. They have different part numbers and prices. Gonna look into it and see if it is worth doing. I know I will get the itch again in a couple of months or weeks or days!

i recently added the rear to my car, looking into getting the sides also lol next, you need both the side sills which is the part where the moulding is on the bottom of your door and the under door protectors which is the side skirt to complete the kit. Dealer quoted me $780 for both..///9401[/ATTACH]

Hmmm $780 isn't that bad. I was under the impression that they were $1000. It's definitely something to think about. Your ride looks great BTW! Love those massive wheels!

I will be looking into sideskirts soon as well. From pics tho, it looks like you can get away with buying the sideskirts and having the black underbody molding on our doors painted body color. Seems like a cheaper option. Someone correct me if im wrong.

I think that could be done. You probably would just have to be sure that you painted both the upper and lower section as highlighted in the photo below.FX.jpg

I was going to do that as well but it won't work, it's hard to explain but you will need the under door moldings. You can't have one without the other.

That sucks, the door moldings cost just as much as the side skirt. I dont understand how it wouldnt work tho. The door molding seems to be a painted version of what is already there. I dont see the sideskirt having to clip into it, as the door needs to swing open.

Also, when you read installation instructions for door moldings, its just a direct swap. Unclip old and clip in new...looking like the same dimensions

My dealership wanted about $980 for the moldings if I recall correctly. Plus I would have to pay to have them painted since they aren't available in Iridium Blue. Seemed like a lot of cash for aesthetics. Don't get me wrong, they look incredible though!

When i look at this highlighted pic and compare to a pic with sideskirts....they look almost the same in dimension. We can probably get away with painting stock sideskirts body color.

It won't work because on the side skirts there is a chrome piece on the front end that flows with the side molding chrome and it's way thicker than the stock chrome piece. Plus the oem side molding does not flare out as much so it won't sit flush with the side skirts. It will look too out of place and wont flow right. See the pic below and compare it to iridiumfx's pic

Hmmmm interesting! I never could get a straight answer as to which parts were actually necessary. The dealer claimed both pieces were needed. Now I see why. Thanks Rip! Car is looking spotless in that picture BTW.

Lol....yes thanx for the clarification. Another question, does the new sideskirt sit lower than stock? If not, I will end up painting what I already have. i can't justify paying $1500 and it looks so similar

Looks very similar (I hope other members don't mind me using their pics for reference):

Yes it sits lower than stock, pics don't do justice. If you see it in person, there is a huge diff in looks.

Quick question....when ordering side sills, under door moldings, or rear bumper protector, do they come as a pair for both sides, or is that price for each individual piece?

They come in pairs, I have never seen them sold individually

Thank you. On parts.infinitiusa it said each next to the price, which led me to believe it was for individual pieces."
