Tires turned brown!

So basically I used Armor All tire shine and now my tires have turned brown. What can I do to get rid of this mess?

Have you been driving on dusty roads? I remember when my neighbor but tire shine on his donwhill bike. They were deep brown by the second run lol

Don't use Armor All. It is very greasy and always turned my tires brown. Try Meguiar's Endurance, much better product in my opinion.

Yeah, Armour All is garbage...at least for tires. A little Westley's bleach-white tire cleaner and a stiff nylon brush will clean that crap off.

I use Meguiars marine and rv vinyl and rubber cleaner to clean my tires. Nice dry look. Works great on tires.

Yeah do not use Armor-all. It uses silicone and if you do not apply it all the time can actually dry stuff out worse. I use Meguiars professional trim dressing. It will shine really well and isn't as greasy as other products. Sticks well too.

Yes! This whole line for boat and rv is amazing, just more concentrated quality products that are meant for longevity under heavy abuse. Love that stuff

Clean them as best you can and apply some permanent Bumper Black. Not forever black or meguires back to black or any such nonesense. Use authentic Bumper Black. You'll never have to dress them again and they're guaranteed to look like new forever!

I guess by now you can tell I'm a fan of Bumper Black. And I guess I am. it's just that I've been a professional detailer for 40 of my 50 years and I've never found anything better. Or really, anything that even comes close.

Authentic Bumper Black is better in my opinion and it's permanent. Once you apply it you'll never have to dress your trim again. If you keep your ride for 100 years it will still look like new.

I see it on ebay...they have a liquid and a spray can form also. I'm gonna try it too....It's made by Bondo...I think that's what he means.

Looking like new for 100 years? Maybe if the car stays under the cover in a climate controlled garage. Kind of hard to believe. A month or two, perhaps, but not years.

Guys this is my first post and luving the forum. I have used castrol super clean on my rims and it took the brown stuff off the tires and got all the brown marks from old brake dust off my rims. By cleaning the tires and getting all contaminants off I don't find you need to add a dressing.

I have recently made a switch form Megs Endurance Tire Spray to this:

http://www.turtlewax.com/shop/products/turtle-wax-jet-black-black-endura-shine-tire-coat-kit

I prepped the tire by spraying the tire with the cleaner, scrubbing it, and rinsing it off. I did this 4 times per tire. The last time I had nothing but white suds and the tire was back to like new condition. I then used a leaf blower to remove all water from the tire and the gap where the tire seats on the wheel.

I drove the FX up on wood blocks so I could get to the whole tire. Using the kit I put on three coats, you can go more or less based on the look you want. Literally 5 minutes after each coat I could wipe a white paper towel on the surface and it was still white and dry. 2 weeks have passed and after several rainy days, my tires still look like day one. Well worth the money. I used less than 2 oz. for the process so one bottle will go far. On the detailing forum I am part of, many said this has lasted them a few months and is far less prone to issues like Tuf-Shine (difficult to prep the surface).

TurtleWax also offers a spray on tire coating, run the other way. Many on the forum complained it was very difficult to remove and turned your tires brown from the inside out, as one person put it.
