Help!! Car doors locked

Hey guys, just made one of the most stupid mistakes in my life. I was repainting my drivers door handle and when I put on the metal rod into the escutcheon, it accidentally locked. I didn't even know the keys were in the car so when I shut the door the whole thing locked and I can't get it open now. Honestly just need some urgent help on how to get it open. Thanks!!

Had that happen. Twice. The top of passenger front door can be pried back to stick a small, stiff wire through and unlock using the manual lock switch. Be careful not to bend the window frame. Go easy and gentle

Yeah I do not have buttons on mine. I tried a bump key but that didn't work. Problem it I can't see in because of the tint.

Help!!!! I can't get it to open the rod through the door frame won't work either any other suggestions?

Jam a screwdriver into the key hole and turn it clockwise (?) (whichever the usual direction is to roll down the window) and the window should roll down.

...technically that's how people break into the cars -- but so is sir's method ;)

:plus1: ...unless if you have the escutcheon mod.

"Jam a screwdriver..." just sounds like another problem the op will have to deal with after this one. :eek.:

I GOT IT!!!!! Had to use sir21's way. At first I couldn't get the welding rods stiff enough, then I used some duck-tape to attach them to each other to make it long enough to reach the manual unlock on the door. Got it hooked around that and had to give it a good tug. Thanks for all of the help!

It is important to have the rod stiff enough and long enough to meet the desired results. Good!

Glad it work out fine.
