Leather or vinyl sheets with 3m adhesive

Hi everyone, I have a project in mind. I want to make a custom cover for my dash and fix the cracks on my driver seat. There are many covers out there but I hate the carpet/suede/velour look. I wish these covers were made out of vinyl or leather. I was wondering if someone could help me find some good quality UV/crack resistant leather, vinyl or carbon fiber sheets with 3M adhesive. I want to try something on the areas mentioned above and if it doesn't workout I'll try other options. I just don't want to damage any of the areas where I plan to work with this stuff. I remember a couple of threads where carbon fiber vinyl with 3m adhesive was applied on the aluminum trim areas with the help of a hair dryer but I couldn't find them. Wondering if something like this could be done on the soft material of the dash. Thanks in advance.

the part that would be an issue is where there air bags are.

If the air bags can go through the dash when deployed, why would this be an issue?. I wonder if all shops that re-wrap dashes professionally cut a hole or line on the leather/vinyl so the air bag can go through without problem.
